UK online video users in January reached 29.6 million up 10%

Latest research firm comScore data show that in January this year, the British online video users has nearly 29.6 million, an increase of 10%.

comScore data show that this year in January, 15 years old (inclusive) of the UK online video users is 29.574 million, an increase of 10%. which Google is the biggest winner, with 23.7 million users, up 14%. which, YouTube accounted for 99%.

British Broadcasting Corporation (“BBC”) site for the 6.8 million subscribers, up 18%, ranked second. Microsoft ranked third, to 4.3 million subscribers, up down 12%. Facebook users to 3.6 million, up 140%, ranking fourth. Yahoo Fifth, the number of users is 300 million, down 12%

The data also shows that 29.6 million online video users watch video number 40 billion, the United Kingdom five major television broadcasters share of 2.5%. One, BBC’s market share was 54.7%, Channel 4 was 23.8%, ITV is 13.6%, Sky was 6.8%, Five.tv 1.1%.

In addition, comScore also found that:

* 80.1% of UK Internet users watched online video;

* Total length of video watched 280 million hours;

* 23.5 million users watched 2.0 billion times by YouTube Video;

* 1.1 million UK mobile phone users access to YouTube;

* 4.8 million British mobile phone users watch mobile TV or video.
